All the people...stopping. Staring. Watching. Uncaring. I hate them. I hate you. I hate me. Keep walking, insect. Soon, this city will be mine. Cross the street. Bad area. Bad food. These people are beneath me. They are not my friends. No friends. Ever. Can't be trusted. They watch. Their laughter is fake. All they want to do is take what is mine. To hurt me. All this will be mine. I'll make them pay. Red light. Can't walk. People crowding around me. They want to steal what is mine. Be vigilant. Can't let them. So close to home. Must make it. Hurry. Walk faster. Elevator is confined. Up the stairs. Get in. Lock the door. Television. Computer. Dinner. Sleep. Wake up. Work. All the people. Stopping. Staring.
I'm more putz than jerk ...
Maybe it's because people who live in cities are more likely to have jobs that are more stressful than 2nd shift at the screen door factory.
Well, that impacts health care costs, like smoking. So let's ban living in cities. Problem solved.
This doesn't really surprise me. The concept of the city itself is about packing people into a smaller space than nature would generally support. It's nothing if not resource-efficient, but the human psyche didn't evolve under those conditions, and of course that's going to have health ramifications.
As any good homeschooling will teach you, correlation implies causation.
It's because constantly being surrounded by jerks and idiots has desensitized them to the feelings of others.
Study has no conclusions... has a small sampling of already crazed college kids (obviously stressed around finals) and really only picked US cities. I guess the hypothesis for the study was of such great magnitude that the only conclusion could be inconclusive. Feh!
Dreamy study of wispy ambiguity, oh how I hate thee.

If you were a screen door magnate would you build your screen door factory in a high cost real estate location? Of course not. Only a screen door employee would think that was a good idea.

Your method presumes that I only exchange email with my "friends, family and frequent e-mail contacts". What about the majority of the email which I get from people I do not know?
My email address is on my website, in plaintext, in the clear. I get dozens of emails from people every day whom I wouldn't have exchanged keys with. so we have to presume that you're considering a public-key infrastructure, where anybody can see my public-key and use it to send me secure email.
How does this fight spam, if spammers can simply use my public key to send me email? Encryption is a good idea, but not a spam prevention one.
Not a mental disorder at all ...
Just a glory-seeker, a fame lover.
Lots of people are like that, but mental disorder ... Most certainly not.
Just a little self-centered i believe.
What is is crime? I don't know him and we don't get to hear about it in England, someone help me out please... Thanks.
Her work is beautiful. Absolutely stunning. It shows a maturity and a depth of feeling rarely found among modern potters. It is very well, spoken and yet... not. Sublimely within the range of post modernism and yet outside the field of sub-textured post structuralist rhetoric. A defining ambience of great magnitude, a bullet to the head of modernism. And, I think, well, let's be honest, she owes me ten dollars.
